I’m Sarah, a Senior Data Analyst, Writer, and Content Creator. 

Born and raised in Alberta, Canada, I’ve always been drawn to both numbers and words. As a kid, I loved puzzles and patterns just as much as I loved getting lost in books. Those interests never left me, and it’s what eventually shaped my career.

I studied psychology and math/statistics, which taught me how people think and how numbers explain the world. After working in finance and foreign exchange, I found my love for analytics, where SQL queries, dashboards, and reports became the tools I used to solve problems. 

Today, I’m a Senior Data Analyst in the public sector, where I build dashboards, validate reporting logic, and make sure the numbers actually tell the truth.

But my story doesn’t stop at data. I’ve always been a writer, and I’ve built a space for that too. I enjoy teaching almost as much as learning, so I created a data analytics blog, Data With Sarah, where I create articles and resources for analysts. 

On LinkedIn, I share content about data careers and work. 

And on Medium, I write articles about everything from analytics to creativity and productivity, to everything in between. Writing is how I process, connect, and share with the world, and it’s just as much a part of me as data is.

Now, instead of separating those two sides, I embrace both.

Data keeps me sharp; writing keeps me grounded.
